2008年，原国家外国专家局国外人才信息研究中心推出了外籍语言教师（英语类）职业培训（TEFL in China），对提高外籍英语教师教学水平和业务素质，使其更好地胜任工作职责起到了积极作用，社会反响良好。TEFL in China一站式解决了外教在华工作的资质难题，获得证书的外教可以在国内任何教学单位合法入职，取得外教资格。

In 2008, the former Foreign Talents Information Research Center of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs launched the Professional Training for Foreign Language Teachers (English) (TEFL in China), which has played a positive role in improving the teaching level and professional quality of foreign English teachers and making them better qualified for their job responsibilities, and received good social response. TEFL in China one-stop solution to the qualification problem of foreign teachers working in China, foreign teachers who have obtained the certificate can legally enter any teaching unit in China and obtain the qualification of teaching in China.

2021年1月，科学技术部国外人才研究中心（以下简称国外人才研究中心）根据在线英语培训行业发展新形势和新需求，针对在线英语教学突出特点，成功开发上线在线考试认证。同时，英语水平达到要求、有志于从事英语教育的本国人，也可申请培训考试，获得资格认证。

January 2021, Foreign Talents Research Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology successfully launched the online exam certification according to the new situation and new demands of online English training industry and the prominent features of online English teaching. At the same time, the English level to meet the requirements, interested in engaging in English education of the native people, can also apply for training examination, obtain qualification certification.

In order to adapt to the new situation and new business format and facilitate domestic and foreign examinees, the training and certification of the Foreign Talents Research Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology are all completed online.

该培训课程全英文授课，由19个单元组成，内容丰富，是原有课程的在线升级。该培训课程涵盖了任何大学或教授英语作为第二语言的120小时TEFL课程，同时也为学员设计了在华从事英语教师教学工作的相关内容。

The training course is taught in English and consists of 19 units. It is an online upgrade of the original course. The course covers 120 hours of TEFL courses at any university or teaching English as a second language, and is designed to prepare students for working as an English teacher in China.

TEFL in China培训课程注重理论学习和教学实践相结合，分为学习与考试、实践教学与考核两大部分，采用全程在线培训和考核的方式。其中在线学习主要包括第二语言习得理论、教学方法与设计、在线教学的特点与应用、中国青少年语言学习特点与中国文化等内容。

The training course of TEFL in China focuses on the combination of theoretical learning and teaching practice. It is divided into two parts: learning and examination, practical teaching and examination. The whole course is online training and examination. The online learning mainly includes the second language acquisition theory, teaching methods and design, the characteristics and application of online teaching, the language learning characteristics of Chinese teenagers and Chinese culture.

学员可根据自己的学习节奏进行学习。建议每单元用5-10小时学习。

Students can study at their own pace. It is recommended to study each unit for 5-10 hours.

在线课程的每个单元（除了第19单元）均有一个简短的单元测试，学员需完成该测试才能进入下一单元的学习。所有单元完成后参加在线考试。在线考试由两部分组成：客观题和主观题以及课程设计。其中单元测验占总成绩的30%，考试占总成绩的70%。

Each unit of the online course (except Unit 19) has a short unit test that students must complete before moving on to the next unit. Take an online exam after completing all units. The online test consists of two parts: objective and subjective questions and the course design. Unit tests account for 30% of the total grade and exams account for 70% of the total grade.

在学员完成TEFL in China在线课程的2-4周内将会得知考试结果。如果考核通过，学员可以从个人中心下载打印电子证书；证书原件将通过代理机构统一发放。

Test results will be available within 2-4 weeks of completion of the TEFL in China online course. If you pass the examination, you can download and print the e-Cert from the Personal Centre. The original certificate will be issued through the agency.

考生一旦报名参加TEFL in China在线培训课程，需专心认真学习。学员支付完培训学费后，如果代理机构已经将学员的学习账号激活，学费将无法退还。如果学员TEFL in China在线课程考核未通过，将不再安排补考。如果想再次考试培训，学员需联系代理机构再支付费用申请新的学习账号。希望所有学员认真准备，顺利通过考试。

Once you register for the TEFL in China online training course, you need to concentrate on your study. If the Agent has activated the student's study account after the student has paid the tuition fee, the tuition fee will not be refundable. If students fail to pass the TEFL in China Online Course, make-up examination will not be arranged. If you want to take the exam again, students need to contact the agency and pay the fee to apply for a new study account. We hope all students prepare carefully and pass the exam successfully.

2. 等待TEFL in China审核报名信息， 3个工作日内通知审核结果。考生报考条件需要核实的，TEFL in China工作人员会电话联系，请保持电话畅通。

3. 通过审核的考生，选取所需认证项目，支付相应考培费用。

4. 按照TEFL in China工作人员指引，开通学习账号，开始学习。请务必正确选择您想要上的班级以及对应的分中心代码。

5. 学习完成，按照TEFL in China安排，参加考试。

1. Candidates submit their personal information online as required. The information submitted must be true and accurate.

2. Wait for TEFL in China to review the registration information, and inform the review result within 3 working days. TEFL in China staff will contact you by phone if you need to verify your application conditions. Please keep your phone unblocked.

3. Candidates who have passed the examination will choose the required certification program and pay the corresponding examination fees.

4. According to the guidance of TEFL in China staff, open a learning account and start learning. Make sure you correctly select the class you want to take and the corresponding sub-center code.

5. Upon completion of the study, take the exam according to the arrangement of TEFL in China.
